Re: [Chevelle-list] E-brake intermediate cable

Yes and I've always wondered why it took them another year (1967) to
put the TH 400 behind the Big Blocks in Chevelles when Impalas had TH 400 with
Big Block in 1965.

2005-09-24 Thread John Nasta
Looks like the equalizer on the A-body cars was just a metal hook. It was
the B & C body cars that had a cable. I'm going to check tomorrow to see of
the hook is still attached to my car but I'm guessing it's gone. I went to a
shop today for an inspection but they said they wouldn't pass it w/o a
working e-brake. Need that sticker by Friday. Desert Dog Auto Parts said
they didn't have any of the parts :(

[Chevelle-list] glovebox

2005-09-24 Thread Al Hembd
Hi I have a 70 SS that I bought last year. It is missing the wire loop to
latch the glovebox close. I have been searching bone yards swap meets and
places like O.P.G, year one and others with no luck. I was wandering if
anybody out thee has one that they would sell or part with. I would like to
use it instead of having it wired shut.

Thanks

Thanks Mark. It's a 1969 El Camino. Pictures are here:
http://johnnasta.com/elcamino/. It's not really for sale right now. I just
haven't had a chance to update the web page.

  Do a search at www.summitracing.com
Search for part numbers ATM-10183 & 10184  They have a picture of
  each.

I checked Auto
Meters web sight and they do show two different ones a single and a double
gauge style.  They do not however show a picture of them.  Email
me off line and I will scan the page out of their catalog and send it to you
or if you have time just order one of their catalogs.  The catalog I am
referencing is a 2001 printing and they may have added or subtracted items
since then.  They call them Gauge Pods and are for Chevelle, GTO,
Lemans 68-72.  .
They do show triple
pods but they are for full size newer Chevy's and Rice
Burners.
Hope this
helps.

Forget that
"Forget that"  I knew I'd seen them.  They have single & dual
gauge pillar mounts for 68-72.  Part #'s  10183 & 10184
