My wife is so ready for this ! Last year was her first year ( my first year I
won the $1000 grand prize) she is already calling trying to get us room
reservations ! ( I haven't told her we have to register for the event first)
Now this is from a lady who is an Executive VP of a large Property and
Casualty Subrogation company...We are all excited ! As far as motels-hotels go,
we stayed in the Motel 8 which is down the next exit. Outdoor pool, right next
to the mall. It's not the Baymont, but for our budget and the kids, it was an
excellent value ( Plus, I can park my, as Chuck calls it "shiney turd" right
out in front of my door !

Thank you all that is on the list

[Chevelle-list] '66 Chevelle 10-BOLT rear housing for sale

For anyone interested,

I am selling the original rear housing for my car. I
also still have the carrier for it, but it was for
3.08 gears (which are now gone).

It is just the housing and the axles, along with the
carrier I mentioned. I needed the backing plates for
my new rear. It is located in MD, I may be able to
meet halfway depending on the distance you are wanting
to come in order to pick it up. Best offer.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, mine was a bench seat car and I already paid about $125 for
the pair I have. Sounds like I didn't get such a good deal for the amount
of rust that was hiding under the covers. The frames are fine, so I
probably will just bite the bullet and get the complete spring kits.

Thanks,

picked a set up at a swap meet for $125 for the pair. The seats looked
terrible but the skeletons were in excellent shape.

Thanks Trooper. I think my springs are beyond fixable. (Where they're
not broken, they are very rusty.) $50 each is a great deal
though. Maybe I'll call around locally before I spend many hours trying
to fix them myself.

Thanks,

them to him and I supplied the covers and the foam. He fixed the
springs, supplied the burlap and added some foam. The repo foam just
didn't fill out the seats like I wanted them.

So, I took the old seat covers off my buckets seats and it looks like
the springs are broken in several places. I saw that reproduction
spring assemblies are available, but they recommend "Professional
Installation". Has anyone tried this at home? They seemed to be held
in by metal tabs on the seat frames in several places, but is there
more to it? I was going to recover these seats myself, but now I'm
debating if I should have a pro tackle this. What do you guys recommend?

I did the same with my '69.  Turned out very nice.  I was
expensive, but it revealed problem areas we weren't aware of that may not
have been addressed.  One word of warning, it will eat away the rust
and take some metal with it.  Any rust holes got a lot bigger after
the dip.

Try my friends at Metal Rehab. This is NOT Acid! It is
a liquid process that is not a caustic Acid. For
example, they have taken old die's that were thrown
out and freshened up and put back in service. I had
all the removable parts off my car stripped. Then you
have a choice to send the body directly to a body shop
for prep and paint or you can have an epoxy primer
applied to keep the parts from rusting until ready. My
body shop had to remove the paint off the main body
but the other parts were ready for surface fill, prime
and paint.

I was happy to receive my July/August Chevelle World a couple of days ago.  Great articles about Chevellabration 05, but still no registration form for 06.
Do I need to quit worrying about this ?

If you read my Steering Column, Melanie, you know that we got behind and are  now in the process of getting caught up with the back issues.  The registration form for CB'06 will appear in the January/February issue, as it does each year. That issue will be produced as soon as we finish the two issues we're working on currently.  I appreciate your patience, Melanie (and the rest of the ACES Members, too) as we get things back on schedule.  And, to ease your mind a bit, you'll have no problem getting registered, as there is room for over 800 Chevelles in our "new" location in the park.

Hi Donnie,

My name is Dave Birchmire Sr. I have a 70 SS396 Chevelle which
is a very nice driver. I am looking for a club to join. My problem is I live
in Pennsville NJ. Which is 100 miles from the Jersey club. Pennsville is
located right next to the Delaware Memorial Bridge. I think you guys are
closer.

 Thanks, Dave

Hey Guys... I spoke with Chuck. the Registration forms will be
available

in the Jan/Feb issue of Chevelle World. Chuck got a little behind, but is
working hard to catch things up. As soon as the form is available, I will
also post it on our website.
