Re: [Chevelle-list] back-half
There are a couple shops in Elgin I cant rember the names of them right now. I think 1 of them is on 25 right in town the rod shop? I do not know the cost. When I was a teanger I helped a close friend do a 70.5 Camaro. But that was a long time ago back in the 80s. - Original Message - From: Stephen Sipos To: Chevelle-list@chevelles.net Sent: Thursday, July 27, 2006 8:56 PM Subject: [Chevelle-list] back-half I'm thinking of having a '70 Malibu back-halved in the near future. I'm not going the whole Pro Street route. (at least not now) For now I'd be keeping it mostly stock except for the back-half. I'm in Chicagoland. (western suburbs). Can any members out there recommend a quality shop? I'd want to drop the car off & pick it up when it's finished. Any idea on the turn around time on this? What the labor costs might be? I got Chris Alston's catalog and he seems to imply they do it for under $2000. I'd supply the rear end. I just love the look of this type of car. Mostly for cruising. No 1/4 mile runs. Any thoughts from the group would be great. Thanks to all.
Re: [Chevelle-list] Exhaust system 69

Re: [Chevelle-list] Exhaust system 69
Gardner Exhaust Systems is the absolute best. There is no other company that even comes close for a concourse restoration. They are a bit pricey but their exhausts are exactly as original and they fit perfectly. www.gardnerexhaust.com Trooper - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Chevelle-list@chevelles.net Sent: Sunday, August 27, 2006 6:05 PM Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] Exhaust system 69 I have been all over looking for an exhaust system for my 69SS, I have found many company including Ground Up which supplies the whole 6 piece package., but I need a system that can go on a concourse car. Anyone one know who can supply the best package out there? Thanks Joe P.

Re: [Chevelle-list] steering gear end plate
I am totally confused. Why would you do that? Just swap the box. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]On Behalf Of Crazy Rusty Sent: Friday, August 25, 2006 8:14 PM To: 'The Chevelle Mailing List' Subject: [Chevelle-list] steering gear end plate Anyone know how or know where I can get an article on swapping the steering gear end plates between two power steering boxes? I rather not lose my turning radius when I go to my new old Monte SS box. At the moment, from the looks of it on the stand, I could do a right U-turn on a one lane road but would need a 5 lane road for a left U-turn. Thanks, JB
