I was right again :-)
I've replaced the old dented & somewhat rusty inner fenders
with new black plastic ones. Saves some wheight & they won't rust :-)

Seemes I've them at the right place :-)
I thought they might be alignment washers for the fenders (the ones just 
beside the hood hinges)
They are "cupped" should the cupped side be outwards or inwards?

  On my 70 on the inner fender well on the lower rear there are two holes 
that are larger than the rest.  The large washers will be used here.  They 
fasten the fender to the body.

   

  On my 65 on the inner fender well above the wheel there are two holes 
that are larger than the rest.  They fasten the inner fender to the fender and 
are about 12" separation between them.

   

  The kit says it is for a 70 up and I don't remember which model year you 
have.

   

  I had to get two different kits when I did mine.

Mortec.com is primarily casting numbers with a couple of examples of engine
dates and suffixes tossed in.  both of these appear to be engine stampings -
one engine assembly and one partial VIN.  The 11J in the partial VIN is for
a 71 Chevrolet and Janesville, WI where full size Chevys were built.  V0615
would be Flint, MI., June 15.  Suffix of 000 doesn't make any sense however.

Pelle, I put mine in and was thinking that in a crash
(hope it never happens, the wheel tube would just
"tear" in that area thus, not absorbing as much energy
as would happen with the washers in place.
