2007-05-29 Thread John Nasta

Don't know. I guess everyone wants to say their car is an SS.

He did say that it has a 327 in it.

I got the feeling that he was not totally F.O.S. because he was an
older guy and his son was also there and also said that it was true
that he bought it and newver drove it.

I met a guy this past weekend who says he has a 1964 El Camino SS

it garaged all these years. He says he's thinking about taking it
out this summer. I'll see if I can get some pictures.

Right...garaged for 53 years. If he bought it new he should have some
paperwork on it. Photos of the Elky might be interesting but so would the
trim tag and/or VIN plate. Curious to see if it's a 138xx Malibu SS series
or a standard 13680 VIN.

Re: [Chevelle-list] old set of interior door panels for 67 chevelle

I doubt it, Mike. If you're going with a custom interior why bother with
any repos? A good upholstery shop should be able to make the backboards our
of pressed board.

Gents, I was unable to locate the door panel locally? Does anyone have an
old set or should I buy a new cheapo set? Is there such a thing as a cheapo
set or door panels?

Thanks
mike

[Chevelle-list] Time to part it out or sell

2007-05-29 Thread Jim Buckingham
I have a 72 chevelle that I have been working on for the last 4-5 years and
due to health and space requirements, I am going to part out or sell. It is
not an SS car but does have all the matching parts (307). It is a front
disk brake car with no air. It was an auto but has a Saginaw 4 speed in it
now with a new clutch and all new shifter. The body was real rough and most
of it has been patched. The frame was sand blasted, POR15 and all new
suspension put on. New shocks, springs, rear control arms, etc. There is
new wiring harnesses (engine, body, front light). New power brake master
cylinder, new power steering pump. The engine has a crane cam, new Air Gap
RPM manifold and a 650 demon carb (new). There are two coreau seats. I
have additional parts, doors, wiring harnesses, window glass. I will have
to make a complete inventory.

It needs a gas tank and then the final adjustments to get it running (valve
adjusted and timing) to break in the new cam.

I am still working on a fair price for it all or I might just part it out.

Any interest let me know and we can work something out.

The car is located in Waldorf, Maryland.
