Re: [Chevelle-list] To Wash or Not To Wash?
I agree. I had a restored '67 SS ragtop and I never washed it for the 10 years I had it once I finished it, just cleaned, waxed, etc. Of course the underside was cleaned differently every year or so... I can say with confidence there were NO spider web swirls in the finish when I sold it. ER Ed Riggins HSP, Inc. Re: [Chevelle-list] D/A Sander Again
He hit the nail on the head. I have my Hutchins set up for sanding clearcoat, it has cut my time on wet sanding a full car in half, but I don't recomend using one if you don't know what you are doing. . Re: [Chevelle-list] D/A Sander Again
You pretty much summed it up your self. IF you blending a worked area into a already finished panel the Finnish Sander is what you want. if you plowing down plastic to rough cut and area or blasting off paint to pre prep it for mud work or you striping a panel of all paint the Production is you DA of Choice. With finesse you can do all with the production gun especially if you have an in line regulator on the gun ( most do) YMMV Wayne Kline ACES 1556 TC 186 Date: Thu, 24 Apr 2008 22:23:54 -0500From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [Chevelle-list] D/A Sander Again What is the practical difference between a "Production" sander and "Finishing" sander. For automotive work which would I use? Re: [Chevelle-list] O/T crazy
I turn stuff like this into art for the garage/shop. If it is framable size, cut a side off the box and frame it. If the are bunch of small similar size - create your intials or year of your car with them and hang it up. Bill, I can relate to that. I have every Chevellabration T-shirt since 99 and about 3/4 of them have never been worn because I don't want to get something on them that wont wash off :) I also have 2 t-shirts from the 95 and 96 NCOA national shows. I wear them to the Chevellebration events. They are great for conversation :) Trooper - Original Message - From: Bill Vander Werf To: The Chevelle Mailing List Sent: Friday, April 25, 2008 6:45 AM Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] O/T crazy-collectors Everyone has their own "demon" don't they? Re: [Chevelle-list] O/T crazy
I would contact YEARONE. Since they just recently put out the "BURT REYNOLDS" Edition Trans Am..They just migt be the one's to buy something like this to. Send an EMAIL to a Trans AM of America Club. There has to be someone out there to buy it. If you had a GM box that once contained a Stripe kit for a Chevelle, don't you think someone here on the list would like it to put it in their trunk for part of their display? Just my two cents !
