Hey Larry,

You can build yourself a really nice BBC. As far as crate engines go,
they are alot of options I'm sure you realize. I don't have any
experience with them, so I can't say much. However, I've done a bit of
research also, and I'd LOVE to do the ZZ502/502 crate from Chevy. It's
EFI, and all the computer and everything are hidden under its tunnel
ram. Basically you plop the engine in there, and for the EFI end of it,
you connect a ground, a power wire, and a fuel feed/return and that's
it. No figuring stuff out. I've heard from word of mouth these are
great set ups. When I save up enough, I think this is the route I'm
going to go.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Big Block upgrade ?

Hi Kids

I am considering upgrading the stock SB 350 engine in my '71 Chevelle
for a built crate motor ?  I am leaning to bigger cubes like a 454. I
would prefer a low end torque driver for weekend cruising. I have only
glanced at the Summit and Jegs websites to this point. Is EFI a viable
option ?  Does anyone have a preference as far as brands ?  Blueprint,
World, GM, etc. ?
