I INSTALLED THE POWERTRAX NO-SLIP TRACTION SYSTEM.  IT WAS WAS ONE OF THE BEST
THINGS I DID TO THE CAR.  IT TOOK ME APPROX. TWO HOURS TO INSTALL (AND I TOOK
MY TIME, FROM JACKING THE CAR UP TO WASHING MY HANDS), I DID NOT HAVE TO
DISASSEMBLE THE RING AND PINION.  I HAVE IT IN MY CAR TWO YEARS WITH-OUT AND
OUNCE OF TROUBLE.
  GOOD LUCK,

If your rear end is sound and you do not want to rebuild the Powertrax is
the way to go. A one day job with no special tools.

If you want to change gears do a complete rebuild Eaton last longer than
Auburns in my experience. This will cost you twice as much in parts and
labor. Plus you may need to pull the whole rear.
