Lately, the end of summer(PA), I have just replaced the head gaskets, on my
75' 350 because the head gasket blew at the #2 cylinder, short after that
the car was overheated to 280 degress +, the oil has no water in it, there
car gives off no "smelly" smoke, but the #2 spark plug fouled out, i am
runnning ac delco 44t with a accel supercoil, and accel wires, I was just
wondering if this has happened to anyone else with this engine and what to
do to cure this problem. A am guessing that the head is warped at the #2
cylinder, or even bettter, that it has a hairline crack there. I would
very much be pleased for any comments on my situation, thanks greatly.

[Chevelle-List] Stock Carb and Manifold Compatibility Question

2001-06-27 Thread Dan Flemwod

Currently I own a 75 Chevelle Malibu Classic, with the original 350
with a two barrel and without the smog pump, the previous owner ripped
it of, but my question is about if a original 1978 four barrel intake
and original carb would be a bolt on for my car?, I heard from some-
one that original four barrel heads are different from original two
barrel heads on mid to late seventies cars like mine, and if this is
actually true(is it?), will this intake fit because of that or will I
just have to buy a different gasket, or will it not work at all, any
help on the topic would be greatly appreciated since everyone i talk
to about this seems to have no clue what im talking about and i really
dont know if it is true about the differences in heads but I am looking
to go buy this setup this weekend from my friend if it will work(and what do
you think would be a good price for a 78 four barrel and intake with all the
hoses connected and the egr?), well thanks for any help at all, oh and one
more thing does anyone know where i could get 1/4 panels for my car becuz
every magazine and distributer i've called says they havent got any in for
over a year, and i am planning to do the body work next week or so, so any
help with that would be appreciated, thanks
