Hello I'm doing converting a 1972 malibu dash to an ss dash three instrument cluster---rpm speedo and clock-I ordered a wiring harness for such instrumentation but cannot get the rpm or clock working, the fuel gauge works ,the instrument lights work but the turn signals do not flash inside---I replaced all the fuses --I even spliced into a brown wire on the back of the instrument cluster and ran it to the negative side of the coil to no availany suggestions to get this working would be appreciated ---steve northern cal
[Chevelle-list] RPM guage not working
I converted a 1972 chevelle to a three instrument cluster gauge setup- like ss-- I used the new dash wiring harness--- the dash lights , fuel gauge work everything else doesn't- I'd like to get the RpM gauge working--- the turn signal lights do not light up by the speedo, but all work outside---and i can hear the flasher inside---someone told me to trace down the brown wire behind the guage cluster and splice into it running a wire to the negative side of the coil--I tried that it didn't work any ideas? thanks guys.
