Hey John.Do you have 202 heads to go with that 327 Howard - Original Message - From: John To: The Chevelle Mailing List Sent: Sunday, June 24, 2007 12:27 PM Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] Holley or Edelbrock I know what you mean Howard...My 327 has a mild cam..465 lift 224 duration @.050 on both intake and exhaust...headers...roller rockersweiand stealth dual plane intake and a couple other small bolt-ons...I know Holleys are good once you get them right..but man..I just can't seem to find that spot..I've just heard that the Edelbrock is a much more forgiving carb if you know what I mean... Re: [Chevelle-list] Holley or Edelbrock
John, I had a Holly 600 and had the same problem and it wouldn't suppy all the gas my 350 needed. Edelbrocks are easy to play with and get it right the first time. Howard www.howardsbackyardautobody.com - Original Message - From: John To: John ; The Chevelle Mailing List Sent: Sunday, June 24, 2007 10:31 AM Subject: [Chevelle-list] Holley or Edelbrock I was wondering what type of carb most list members were running...I am thinking of switching over to an Edelbrock on my 327...The Holley 600 I have on there..(almost brand new) i'm finding I am constantly trying to get it to run better and just can't seem to get it right...Edelbrocks I am told aren't as fussy and are alot easier to work with and set...You know...Set it and forget it!!! Re: [Chevelle-list] Windshield install
Its not a problem, just make sure you install new clips to hold down the trim,if the old ones are bad. The real fun starts is when you put the trim back on and you have new paint to deal with..opps I scratch my new paint...Have at it. Howard - Original Message - From: "Chuck Kranz" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "The Chevelle Mailing List" Sent: Friday, June 08, 2007 8:55 AM Subject: [Chevelle-list] Windshield install I've heard that a windshield is installed in two stages. First to the body, then a second step to install the trim etc. Is this correct? I would like to install the front and back glass and later have the trim done. Is this practical? Re: [Chevelle-list] Subject: Paint Question
Jim, There's not much you can do! But you could pour some primer and pour some paint into the area's you can't reach, using a paint gun. It's messy, but it works. Howard www.howardsbackyardautobody.com - Original Message - From: Jim Sullivan To: The Chevelle Mailing List Sent: Thursday, May 10, 2007 10:13 AM Subject: [Chevelle-list] Subject: Paint Question My frame was sandblasted and epoxy primered about 3 years ago. I know from a previous question/answer that I have to rough the surface of the epoxy primer before I can paint it. My question is, what about all the places in the frame that I cannot reach to scuff up? What will happen to the paint? Just not stick? I will be using Eastwood's Chassis Black for top coat. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Jim S.
