Since none of us have heard of one or seen on before, without a doubt it is a complete and utter fake. Re: [Chevelle-List] coil spring isolators
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List There is only the 1 for the rear top. None are used on rear bottom or in front. rick -Original Message- From: Morris, Jason [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Sat, 17 Nov 2001 11:12:46 -0600 To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Chevelle-List] coil spring isolators I just ordered a set of springs(set of 4) from P-S-T, for my '69 El Camino. I wanted to replace the coil spring isolators also, however P-S-T only sells the rear uppers. Do I need upper and lower for each of the springs(front and rear) or should I just replace the rear uppers. Just pry it out and you shall see a grease fitting. They are Nice! Well constructed and nicely finished. I didn't look at them too closely - gotta get to bed soon- But 1 question: The upper ball joint is already inserted in the a-arm. It does NOT have a grease fitting. Any comments on this? The shaft end of the a-arms does have grease fittings.Just wonderin. BTW - I ordered them (ultimate kit) thru National Parts Depot and they were about $100. cheaper than on GW web site. rick schaefer http://members.home.net/jimmy4/rick1972elky.htm http://chevelles.com/showroom/ricks%20motor%20-L - To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ GO.com Mail Get Your Free, Private E-mail at http://mail.go.com - To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [Chevelle-List] Exhaust Question Headers
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List I used doug thorley header on my 72 (same/similar to 70 ) and had minimal problems. The place I bought them from, sent me a welded bracket for the A/C. It is much more sturdy than the bent sheet metal brackets that you can buy at almost any parts store. Its been many years, but at that time I called thorley they gave me the name of a distributor. Now summit or jegs or both sell thorley. They have reasonable prices on all headers. Also I know someone who swears by Dynomax headers for a 70. In summit, there ceramic coated headers (the ONLY way to go IMHO) for about $215.00 Last month I got a set for my camaro. Also check dynomax.com for rebate info. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Thu Jun 28 20:07:16 PDT 2001 Subject: [Chevelle-List] Exhaust Question Headers Hey Guys I'm wondering if anyone has installed headers on there 70 Chevelle small block 350 with an automatic transmission that had air conditioning if so was there a problem with the a/c brackets. If anyone has tackled this project with success please let me know which type headers fit the best and where is the best place to purchase them.
