Re: [Chevelle-List] 462624 heads
http://www.mortec.com/castnum.htm this is mortec's web site and according to them these are 462624.75-86...350/400..76cc chamber, 1.72/1.5, 1.94/1.5 or 2.02/1.6 valves are they straightcut across the bottom bolts or are they "cut in" between each pair of bolt holes? if they are cut in then they are "light weight" casting and are prone to warpage and cracks Rob Means "be good,if not,be good at it [EMAIL PROTECTED] - Original Message - From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, May 17, 2002 12:16 PM Subject: [Chevelle-List] 462624 heads > Anyone have any experience with or strong feelings about > the 462624 SBC head? [Chevelle-List] 462624 heads
Anyone have any experience with or strong feelings about the 462624 SBC head? I have a set on a mildly cammed 350 (mid 8s CR, 212/212, .440/.440) and have heard that despite the 1.94" intake valve it's really not that good of a head; supposedly it's a thinner casting and more susceptible to warping.
