Michael, I hope you have an older Caddy engine than Sarah lists below. The 1969 version of the 472 had 10.5:1 compression, 375 HP at 4400 RPM, 525 lb-ft torque at 3000 RPM. The 1970 version had 10:1 compression, same HP and torque rating (hmmm?). The 1971 version had 8.5:1 compression, 345 HP at 4400 RPM, 500 ft-lb torque at 2800 RPM. --I know this is a chevelle list but the caddy motor is in a chevelle! I have another question to ask about ithow do I tell what year the motor is?
