Re: [Chevelle-List] How to install Summit Tachometers?
Having similar past experiences, I'd say it would be much easier to just replace the whole harness with a brand new one. Trying to figure out what needs fixed, fixing it, and even trying to fix other people's "fixes" can be a nightmare, tedious and frustrating at least. My under dash harness had been on fire before I got it. Talk about messed up. I spent years fiddling with it because I couldn't afford a new harness. That, and 17 years ago we didn't have the great choices we have today. Go for it! and save yourself some time and frustration. Ok, look, the black wire goes to a ground on a metal surface, I used the firewall. The white wire goes to the ilumination light on the dash, which brightens the tach at night. I think the green wire goes to the negative terminal on the coil, and the red goes to the fuse box.
