I kind of agree with both of you at least somewhat.
I don't think Trevor has gone over the line...yet, but I do think it is time
to bring it to his attention that this is not a sales forum. Some info about
parts, suppliers & such is welcome ( at least by me) but it should not
become a regular sales pitch every time you write something.
My 2 cents worth,
Don

I happen to agree with Larry, This is not a personal
advertisement forum for some guys business. If you
want to sell parts, thats why there are places like
Team Chevelle parts for sale, and hey, there is the
trusty Ebay, And Rodney, I think you also would get
pretty tired every time someone logged in, they tryed
to sell you a bunch of crap, read that as used parts,
I think you would also be happier reading about and
helping people fix there Chevelles, not reading a
parts list.

I didn't think it sounded like a sales pitch...
just a guy letting other guys with the same interest know where they can find
some parts.  I for one always appreciate finding out where the parts are...
especially if I'm looking for something in particular.  At least he's
contributing, unlike most of the lurkers on the list :)

I'd hate to get so picky about what people can post
on this list that it scares people from posting for fear of being criticized
about what they post.  If you don't like what a particular person has to
say, then delete their posts, or setup a filter in your mail program to do it
for you.

I'm not trying to start an arguement or anything
with you, Larry.  That's just my $.02   :)

  Trevor: i don't
know about anyone else thinks but your emails are more of a sales pitch
than a helping hand like you stated you would be doing your first message.
if you want to sell us or me stuff i suggest you email us separately or
mail the group and tell us you have stuff for sale at TeamChevelle. as far
as I'm concerned you are welcome here but not to pitch your wares every
time you pop in the room.

Hi everyone,

Last week, I acquired a bunch of 68 & 69 Chevelle and El Camino parts,
including... 1 '68 tailgate, 1 '69-72 tailgate, six El Camino doors (mostly
'68 plus one '69-'72 passenger door), misc. door parts (latches, handles,
regulators, guides, etc.), a '68 front grill, a '68/'69 header panel, '69
hood latches, '69 headlight bezels & buckets, '68/'69 Elco taillight bezels &
lenses, '69 front parking lamps, '69-'72 Elco backup lamps, a wiper motor, a
nice pair of black bucketseat headrests, and misc. trim and moldings.

For you Southern Californians -- I'll be in row 28, space 81 at the Pomona
Automotive Swap Meet this Sunday. Let me know if you want me to bring
anything in particular out for you.

We're doing a restoration on a customer's '63 Nova SS convertible. The
bodywork (including replacing both quarters & the trunk pan) and the paint
have been completed. The interior and top are next. The front bucket seats
are not original. They have a chrome bar that wraps around the sides and top
of the seats. Anyone know what they might be out of?? So, we need some
original buckets and also the L-shaped moldings that go above and to the
sides of the taillights. I've just added three pages to our website of
photos and info on the progress, so far. Check it out!

I was just down at Original Parts Group and Classic Industries last week. I
wasn't planning to go again until next week, but I've had so many new orders
lately, that I may make another trip later this week. Need anything??

Our 68 Malibu rolling chassis is still available at a reduced price of $175.
A no-title body shell is part of the package.
Also, we've dropped the price on our 69 Chevelle Concours Estate Wagon to
$2400. Or, we can restore/restify it for you! I think it would look awesome
in blue with white stripes and 17 or 18 inch wheels!

Sincerely,
Trevor Baker
