Re: [Chevelle-List] Roller Rocker Suggestions?

2003-02-02 Thread Tigergutt
depends on how many $$$ you are willing to spend.

I have used Harland Sharp on two engines now and are happy.
I have also tried the comp cams that Herb reccomend, I was happy of them too
but they are half the price nearly.
I dont think the aluminum full rollers will fit under a stock walve cover
but the roller tip will.

Your choice.

Kind Regards

André

 Well gang,

Again I come looking to extract some of your expertise
  8^]

It has been recommended to me by the shop guy who just
redid my heads (WAHOOO!) to pick up a set of
roller rockers for them. I was looking at the Crane
Aluminum ones that are sold at Jegs, but didn't know
if anyone had any feedback they could provide about
the do's and don'ts of roller rockers.

Thanks again guys, you have no idea how much you are
 helping me!!!

2003-02-01 Thread Herbert Lumpp
Jim,

If you're not getting crazy with the engine mods, I would highly recommend
the Comp Cams Magnum Roller Tip rockers. I had a set on one of my previous
cars and when I sold it I swapped the Magnums to the next car. I used that
set on four consecutive cars until I finally let them go when a friend of
mine bought the Blazer they were on.

I now have a set on the 454 in my Elky and they work great (and are much
less $$ than full roller rockers).
