Thanks for the URL. No shortage of pics there. Need to submit mine when it's
done.

I meant to get back to you about the SS stripes. Yes, 69 & 70 are different.
Rather than getting the dimensions & painting them on by hand, I strongly
recommend buying the stencil kit. You certainly don't have to buy it from
me, but I do have them listed on my web site. The 1970 SS hood stencil kit
is $39.95. The 1969 SS El Camino body stripe set is $99.95 (including
shipping). Just go to the GM area and then click the Stencils & Stripes
link. AFAIK there is no such thing as 69 hood stripes (OTTOMH). The 1970
hood is a different shape, but I suppose you could make the 1970 kit work on
a 69 hood with enough creativity. Personally, I like the look of the 70 hood
stripes over the 69 body stripes, but it is not correct for that year. It
all depends on how much of a purist you want to be.

This is the best site I've found so far. You may find what you're looking
for, and then again...
Thanks to those that replied to my question about SS stripes. No one replied
with the dimensions, but i would imagine that was because no one had them.
BTW, '69 stripes were different from '70 stripes.

I just laid out my stripes last night and they were painted on today. I used
one of the tape kits and would STRONGLY advise to use one. My paint guy has
been doing cars for almost 30 years and was doing Chevelles when they were
almost new fron collision work. He was very impressed with the tape kit. I
don't think he'll ever stripe one from scratch again! Just my 2 cents!

Keith,

I tried to email you privately but it was kicked back to me as
undeliverable at the address listed.

I would like a copy of those pages if you don't mind. I'm building a
71and I would like to duplicate the factory stipes.

Thanks,
