There are
other brackets you can get. Since your '65 should not have used any of the
cylinder head mounting bolts, you can work with this arrangement, or swap to all
new brackets that mount to the cylinder head as well that can also bring the
accessories in. There are alternator mount brackets made for use with
headers which bolt on. I had mine welded onto my headers once, which has
plusses and minuses.
I don't
know about AC mounts, but I thought power steering mounted by the engine mount
and block and not the headers. Either way, if you have a catalog you can
find the header brackets as well as other mounts used through the years.
Or, you can shell out some more money for a very cool looking serpentine
system. They seem to mount exclusively to the block and heads, which means
you will not have any headaches.

[Chevelle-list] 350 Crate Motor in '65 Malibu
I'm installing a 350 crate motor in my '65 Malibu SS.
There are some unknowns about mounting the accessories, particularly
those attaching to exhaust manifolds, as I want to use headers. Is there
a way to use my original brackets for power steering, A/C and
alternator?
Has someone else done this recently? If so, could I have your phone
number?
