looks very well done with new interior. Any thoughts?

I've been keeping an eye out for a #2 or 3 condition 65 convertible.
But this one came up & I am at least intrigued. Its hard to pass up what
appears to be a really clean car.

   PRO'S ( for me) 1- very clean, near done.2- near original3 -

   CON'S - 1 - Not a convert 2- A/C not connected 3 - Not What I was
looking for

I'm very hesitant cause its not what I was looking for, but I wasn't
looking for my el camino when I bought it either. Seems like a 2 or 3
condition convertible could be had for the low $20's. He says that he
has the rest of the parts needed to finish; but I'd bet it will take another
$3-5K to really finish it. So what is the consensus?

Not quite. I haven't been able to locate the rear window glass, regulator

What kind of a wheel do you want to run? Please be
more specific.
You might have a problem finding many 15x7 wheels

I've been researching this for a while for my '65. I want to run
245-60-15s.

What kind of wheels are you looking for? Spokes, rallies, or? Steel
or alloy? Year One has steel rallies with that backspace

Bob, Sounds like a real good deal and an excellent restoration

Sounds like a very nice car to restore if it's not too far gone and the

really be different when there were probably more red Chevelles around than
you can shake a stick at.

Good luck on the negotiations!  You might check
the VIN as well.  The car is probably a V8 car but in 64 and 65, GM
plants had a habit of putting 138 coded trim tags on 137 VIN cars.  The
VIN is the final authority on a 6-cyl or V8

I could use some help and advise.  I am looking at a 65 Malibu SS w/327 auto, original A/C, too much to list.  It has all bells and whistles available and has 90k on speedo which I believe is original as well.  Steel painted wheels w/ SS full caps, buckets, dual exhaust, everything is factory original.  Sitting is Nevada sun for at least 4 years, dash pad and package tray need to be replaced, rest of interior in surprisingly good condition.  He is asking 8k but may negotiate.  He wants to finish his 29 F**d.  Thanks for help and advise.
