Re: [Chevelle-list] 66 Rearend in 70 Chevelle
Well I would trade it for a 68-72 posi 12 bolt if someone was interested. This one is a 331 posi and it is coded for a 1966. No... I used my stock '67 springs... no problem. Donnie

Just curious, Donnie. I assume it’d still require a 66 type flat spring? [Chevelle-list] 66 Rearend in 70 Chevelle
Hey guys, I picked up a 66 12 bolt posi rear for my 70 chevelle. I know the 66 rear is narrower than the 70. My question is this. The mounting for the coil springs are different on the rear. What holds the springs on the rear? The 66 has a flat plate with a hole in the middle. Is there a bracket to hold the coil springs? Thanks in advance. Matt
