Hi Gang, am trying to locate an alternator mounting bracket to be mounted on the passenger side cylinder head using ashort water pump. Nobody seems to make such a monster, any thoughts and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Tim

Moroso makes one for the small block, right side mount, short water pump. If you hve abig block I believe the part # 63840 will work on either side. Not the best looking in my opinion but Alan Grove components makes brackets for a short pump big block that mounts the alternator on the passenger side. Check http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/B.B.Short_Pump.htm One mounts the alternator pretty high and may not fit under the hood and one is a low profile that mounts the alternator about mid-carb height. They are priced online at $70 and $85 respectively. Id almost bet it would put the alternator fan pulley too far out from the block to align with the water pump pulley. The two standoffs as Moroso calls them that space the alternator away from the head and block are 5 and 3 respectively.
