Well I pulled the distributor out tonight. I had to use a pry bar to get it out in all the years I have never had a dist come out so hard. When I pulled it out the points and everything in it looked knew then I saw it stamped as re-manufactured. the shaft looked like it was hit by something be for it was redone. some gears are broke off. and the distributor is real tight to turn. Now I guess it is time to finish the HEI I started building. Boy I feel better. busted gear has it happened to anybody allot. Before you try turning it over make sure that it isn't the chain or the cam.Cams have been known to break. Larry (Z)

[Chevelle-list] Chevelle Died today
I was out driving the Chevelle Today first time sense it was put away before winter. You know getting the nice car the thumbs up. Getting the good feeling you get when you drive a chevelle. Well the 454 let me down tonight. I went to get on it a little got up to about 4000 then a backfire and the car died. No spark. Maybe no power to the coil.
