Hey Bill, I think I read somewhere that some of the double coil speakers wouldn’t work with factory ac. I donk know if that was your brand, but at least some manufacturers remember to tell such things. Sorry about your two days spent in nothing. Have Fun! Just to let you know, the CAS #2011 speakers that are supposed to fit in place of the single front speaker on a 68 Chevelle with A/C will NOT work unless you're willing to cut and modify the A/C ductwork (which I wasn't). The speaker magnets hit the ducts, and there's no way that they will fit. I wasted 2 days pulling all of the stuff out of the dash to find this out, and I didn't want any of ya'll to have to go through the same thing. BL
