Re: [Chevelle-list] Harmonic damper and long short water pump
Well, I would but the rotating assembly is balanced on the stroker with external balancer, and the flex plate. It, the motor was in my 82 silverado with long pump and it all bolted up fine. The point may be that the componenets from the late 60's SBC may not work with the larger balancer. Maybe someone can shed light on it. FATMAT sells @ 1$ per square ft. I bought 120sq ft for 100 but it was smaller 12 inch wide rolls rather that the 36" wide rolls. Did not seem to matter other that the smaller was easier to handle. mike --- Clint Hooper <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I've been looking at Fatmat on eBay and can get it a > 100 sq/ft rolls for > around $125,shipped. Re: [Chevelle-list] Harmonic damper and long short water pump
I've been looking at Fatmat on eBay and can get it a 100 sq/ft rolls for around $125,shipped. Is that a decent deal? I'm on vacation next week so I'm going to try to get some work done on my El Camino and do a little house painting. I wouldn't think a larger diameter balancer would dictate a switch to a longer w/p set-up,Mike. If that were the case,I think I would change to a different balancer, first. [Chevelle-list] Harmonic damper and long short water pump
I was on the pager, week before last and trying to get a few things accomplished last week. But since you mentioned, I appreciate this. My two complaints are that I don't have enought money, and time to spend on it. We had a break in the termerature as Bill and Clint will tell you, so I took off Thursday and Friday and worked on the chevelle along with mowing. Three days thus far. It is starting to take shape. I have put down about 140 sq ft. of the fatmat stuff. I have the carpet laid out and set the seats in. Clint, the SCAT Rallye seats look good. I have made, what to me, some good purchases on ebay. Nothing large mind you but stuff like heavy duty Battery disconnect switch and maybe an air cleaner valve cover parts. This motor is a show piece. I prefer lots more go that show. Ran into a bit of a problem. The 283 has a short water pump and little tiny harmonic dampener. I dropped a stroker in place the the harmonic damper is 7" or 7 1/2" large. Am I needing to swap out all my pulleys and bracketing for a long water pump setup? thanks for your input. mike --- Bill Bradley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > ok mike, we are starting to worry about you! > Bill Bradley > 67 Malibu > Edmond Oklahoma > http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1649723 > > - Original Message - > From: "mike f" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "The Chevelle Mailing List" > > Sent: Wednesday, September 28, 2005 6:19 PM > Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] > > > > This person is looking for a men's swimming suit > on > > the forum? > > > > --- Clint Hooper <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > >> Please change the subject header,C8NDYJ. > >> Clint Hooper > >> H&H Custom, owner > >> 1969 El Camino ProTourer > >> 2001 H-D FLHR custom bagger > >> > > > http://dalesplace.com/misc/friends/clint/clint_hooper.htm > >> - Original Message - > >> From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > >> > >> > >> ANY ONE HAVE A 1966 SPEEDO FOR SALE > > > > > > > > > > __ > > Yahoo!
