RE: [Chevelle-list] If it wasn't for bad luck,,,
We just did that at WDW for a week this past March with an elderly friend of the family. You do get to go ahead on many of the rides and get front row for many of the shows and parades. As a huge Disney fan, their parks are very handicap accessible. However at the end of the day it's still a lot of walking, maneuvering and pretty much always looking where you are going - avoiding the people who cross right in front of you. Clint - follow doctors orders! Don't push it! Let the healing take place. The sooner that happens the sooner you will be back on your feet (OK pun intended). - - Krister You have the same option at Disney World...Front of the line!! The vertebra was pinching a nerve I guess but was telegraphing the pain as tho it was in the stomach.
Re: [Chevelle-list] If it wasn't for bad luck,,,
Clint, Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I thought I had done well by making it 27 years without breaking a bone. I was just bragging about that fact 15 minutes before the Blazer crossed the centerline and sideswiped up head-on while riding my Harley back in 1996. I broke my hand in several places, and my wife broke some ribs. I'm a mechanic by trade so this was not a good thing, plus I couldn't ride (which really sucked). Anyway, I'm sure things will work out OK for you. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Best wishes for your wife also. Take care. Scott Jackson 1969 Chevelle SS 396

It turned out to be a slightly dislocated vertebra between my shoulder blades that I had apparently gotten while diving into a pool a few years previously. The vertebra was pinching a nerve I guess but was telegraphing the pain as tho it was in the stomach.

Or have someone drive you IN your car to the show, and do the crutch thing- I've learned the Spring/Summer goes by WAY too fast to miss a show! Re: [Chevelle-list] If it wasn't for bad luck,,,
If it was at Pate and was your right foot, could it be a function of the weight of the cash needed to be carried at that event and then quickly disappearing from your wallet resulting in a fast changing of weight distribution characteristics. Kinda like a hitchup in your gettalong. Must be a Texas thangI broke my right foot stepping off a curb a couple of years ago right after spending too much for a dinner. Weight transfer got all screwed up. Throttle related is also a possibility...Hydraulic or air valve throttle linkage can also help you get down on the fun pedal a lot faster with less body energy. 1/2" pedal travel range from idle to Oh My is kinda spooky but also efficient. Obviously hope your recovery is very quick. Was it your wife who broke something last year about this time and you couldn't go to CB 04? Tell the doc that you need a "driving" cast instead of a "walking" cast, or maybe a combo cast. Good luck, hope you heal quickly, and hope your wife's health will get better too. BL
