It was a 1969 396 (265 HP passenger ) 2 bolt main shortblock
bored 30 over, tanked, has a crank but he doesn't know if it needs turned and
the rods have been resized.

Barye,
How much are you looking to spend on a Big Block and what are you looking for.

just out of curiosity, why do you specifically want a 4 bolt block? The 454
in my 70 is pushing over 500 HP and it is a standard 2 bolt block from a 73
Caprice.

There was one for sale just the other day on the list, maybe someone will remember who had it.  I'll try and locate the info too. I think it was a 396.  Do not know if it was a 4 bolt or not.

I
believe it was either 'super Chevy's or 'Chevy High performance' that had a
buyers guide for crate motors a month or two back.  There were some nice
motors for less than that I believe.  I'll try and find the article for you
when I get home.
