I have a 66 SS and am working on a vibration
problem. This car was drag raced and even had a roll cage in it which I removed.
Was there any kind of drag racer's trick back then that would make the original
owner of the car move the rear lower control arm front mount pivot higher on the
edge of the frame. I think the vibration I am getting is because the pinion
angle is not correct. I have done all the normal things to correct the problem
and I found this. When you look throught the inspection hole in the frame where
the bolt goes through, it is now about an 1 1/2" higher than where it was
originally. Could this be the problem? And if anyone is doing a body off could
you please send me any photos of that area so I can repair this correctly.
