Re: [Chevelle-list] MCC show
Made it home fine from the MCC show despite the rain and traffic along the way. It turned out to be great weather for the show hours and there were lots of cars. This is always a great show. I also got to meet Phil G. and see Tom, J.J. Fig and Donnie again. I was going to do the cruise and dinner but it looked like a storm was rolling in and I figured if I had to drive home in the rain I may as well do it before dark. The show is still going tomorrow, so stop by if you can. It's a couple hundred miles each way for me, and its worth the trip. I also saw 2 guys' cars that they painted themselves. In both cases it was their first paint job and both of them were better than mine, so I guess I'm going to learn how to paint! John Nasta

If you do happen to need a flat-bed tow in the North East or Baltimore area, call these guys: Chris' Towing Transport We Do The Impossible. (443) 807-2408 (443) 243-9100 They moved my '70 Malibu and gave me a great price and had a very impressive and large (and looking like brand new) truck. Well, I've had time to change my ignition wires, check the air fluids, and tighten the lug nuts, and I guess I'm on my way early tomorrow.

Re: [Chevelle-list] MCC show
Rest assuredThe show will go on rain or shine!! If we have to relocate due to flooding or some other unforseen incident at the park, please check the website for where we are. I will make every effort to update the home page. FYI, currently our backup location is in the Wal-mart parking lot on the corner of Rt 40 and 272 (lots of asphalt). If you don't see us up on the hill then we are at the park. No matter which way you come to the show... you have to pass this corner (Ok.. i'll take that back... but ONLY if you come by boat). We will be there Friday afternoon between 12 and 2. Come on down and help set up if you wish. We will cruise to the Elkton Diner about 6:30 for Dinner again... rain or shine! We will meet/leave from the Show field. Dinner will be at 7 pm. You can also meet us there, but don't be late... seats will go fast! Show starts at 8 am on Saturday. No earlier!! No one will be allowed on the show field until 8 am... please make your arrival plans for that. ONE exception... if you are a vendor.. you may arrive on FRIDAY between 2 and 5 pm. Ok... two exceptionsTRAILERS may also arrive on Friday. Same times. Otherwise we will see you Saturday morning ... after 8 am. If you need more info on the show please go to www.chevelles.net/mcc click on 2006 shows... click on 19th Annual. Let the fun begin!! Donnie GatesPresidentMaryland Chevelle Club

Well, I am certainly going to try to make it to the MCC show on Sunday. I will put my EC on the field if I can, but not to be judged. Hopefully I will have the new tailpipes in by then (to replace the ones that were altered/removed during a little curb-hopping incident). Who else will be there on Sunday? John Nasta

That's a good idea Clint. Herb, I would wait until you have the glass out before you try to remove anything; heck of lot easier. Hi Phil, Speaking of waterproofing, I have to have my windshield resealed - it leaks at the base when the rain is heavy and the speed is high! Speaking of trailers - Whatever makes people happy - whether it be trailering their car or actually driving it, right? Herb Lumpp http://users.adelphia.net/~hlump/ Way to go Herb. You sure have a way with words. Don't worry about pissin the queens off. They got pissed on enough!!LOL I agree. The scamble was worth watching. For those of us with drivers, all we could do was watch. I found a bunch of leaks and bailed all weekend. I've got my next project and it includes sealing and waterproofing. [Chevelle-List] MCC Show/ACES Northeast Regionals
OK guys who all is going to be there? I am bringing both chevelles and will be there Friday afternoon. Tom
RE: [Chevelle-List] MCC Show/ACES Northeast Regionals
Holy crap! I though it was this past weekend and was really bummed that I had to miss it. Now I find out that it's next weekend and I have to be really bummed again because I have to miss it. It was the only show I was able to make it to last year, and if you can only make it to one show, this one is a good one IMO. It is a very well organized show, and the location is beautiful, not to mention the hundreds of Chevelles and El Caminos. I might have to play hooky on Friday afternoon. What's going on that day and what time do people get there? I will unfortunately have to bring the Nissan if I do make it. There should be a decent crowd of us there withour cars, maybe around 10-15 or so but Saturday is when the show actually starts. Tom
RE: [Chevelle-List] MCC Show/ACES Northeast Regionals
Thanks Tom, Saturday I have to work the sound board for a play (actually a musical) here in Manhattan, for both matinee and evening performances. I also have to do a Sunday matinee. Re: [Chevelle-List] MCC show
Hi Tom- Yeah, actually I'd like to do that sometime- my job is about 5 min from the Del Memorial Bridge. I'm sure I could find you pretty quick- There's a car show here in DE this weekend that I'll probably be going to as well, at Midway Slots, just below Dover. I got to MCC but didn't know how to track you down- however I did see Herb's '66 El and loved it- that's the exact color I want my '66 if I can ever get it back together. Hope all's well! --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hey Jim how close are ya to the NJ border. I am only 25 miles SE of Philly, maybe I could get ya over here for a show sometime. I'm about 15 minutes west of Wilmington, so it wouldn't be too far of a hike (it'd be closer than our annual trek to Carlisle!). Jim -69-SS396- H. No problem, Tom. I didn't recognize anyone, but when I walked by saw the Area 51 front plate, I knew there couldn't be TWO of them! Maybe I'll see you next year, Jim -69-SS396- H. [Chevelle-List] MCC show
I think it's safe to say that a good time was had by all at the MCC show. I was there today. The weather was great, the turnout was great, the location was great, the people were great, the Chevelles were great (and so were the El Caminos). Congratulations to Donnie and the rest of the Maryland Chevelle Club for putting on a great event. I got to meet a few list members, namely Donnie Gates, J.J. Figuracion, Herb Carol Lumpp, and Tom Rightler. Nice meeting you guys. John Nasta - To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [Chevelle-List] MCC show
Thanks for the kind words John. Glad to meet you as well. Always great to put a face and voice to the e-mails we share on the list. We had our best show so far... 177 Chevelles. The caliber of the cars coming just gets better and better. It was awsome to look in my rear view mirror and see 20 Chevelles behind me on the Friday night cruise and then 75 Chevelles on the Saturday night cruise. I dont know how we are going to top this year, but I can sure tell you were going to try. Hope you can make it again next year for our 16th Annual Mid-Atlantic Chevelle Show Swap Meet/ACES Northeast Regional June 21/22, 2003... Re: [Chevelle-List] MCC show - was el camino update
I plan on going. I'm just debating whether or not to bring the Chevelle or not. Sure would be a lot easier to jump in the truck and head down for the day.
