Sounds familiar. My father worked for the railroad and we use to go down to the railroad yard and watch the new cars roll by in the early 60's. A few years later they put side panels on the railroad cars so you couldn't see much but that was to protect the cars from vandals (or striking railroad workers) from throwing rocks, etc. and damaging the new cars. I think that is when I first became a Chevy fan although my dad always bought Pontiacs. My 70 LS5 car was built early February at the Kansas Plant My 95 silverado was built june 95...very late in the year.
