Re: [Chevelle-list] OT: found a '63 Falcon squire wagon for sale
The little Falcons seem to be getting popular recently. I've seen a few real nice ones at car shows. I'm not sure how the aftermarket parts supply is for these cars but they're simple cars & it seems that they'd be easy to restore if you can get parts. My very first car was a 62 Mercury Meteor which is a Mercury version of the Falcon. It was a great little car that I drove for years. Don -- Ok guys/gals, I stumbled across a pretty neat looking '63 Falcon Squire wagon for $850! It's admittedly rough, but looks to be about 95% complete, and runs and drives! That little 170ci engine fired right up and purred quietly. All the glass and trim are present, and in surprisingly good condition. It definately needs restored, but for the money, seems like a pretty good deal. We always wanted something unique and different, and this thing certainly fits the bill. I've always thought the Falcons were pretty neat. This would be my 1st non GM car, and I don't know anything about them. I've not decided I would keep it or not, but seems like it could be a decent car to keep, and if I change my mind I don't think I should have much problem getting my money back out of it, and probably even a little more. I'm still weary from my Chevelle restoration, so for sure it'll be a few years before I'd get to it. Michael, Check this page out for a fair pricing comparison. http://www.vmrintl.com/cctm/coll_frame.htm Good luck Rich -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Michael Pell Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2003 10:21 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] OT: found a '63 Falcon squire wagon for sale A F--D !!! Oh man!! howd that happen! :-)) I know, but it's still classic American iron, and doesnt' burn rice, and it's just plain neat, and different. And the price is certainly fair. Besides, if I buy it, decide to not keep it, and sell it for a bit of a profit, that's more money for my Chevelle. ;-) thanks for the other response also. Actually, Just kidding. It's sounds like a neat project. If you do decide to sell it, I have a buddy that loves Falcons and most likely would jump all over a station wagon.
