Check out freecyclers.com in your area. Its a list where people offer up
useable but unneeded items or request items that they need. Its a person
to person recycling program. Or if not in your area put them on
craigslist.com. Someone will want them.

Dennis, Where did you get the new(used) wheels? If you lived closer I
would pick up your old ones. My '99 Avalon's alloy wheels are corroded very
badly from the salt they use on the roads here in western NY.
Been looking in the junkyards for even Camry wheels as a temporary
solution. Can't decide if I want the 21 or 22 inch chrome spinners. JK

Hi Guys,
A new set of used aluminum wheels were purchased for my Toyota
Avalon this weekend. I need to dispose of four excellent 15" steel wheels
with plastic wheel covers. The tires are 205/65-R15, two are used and two
are very worn due to an alignment problem which wore the inner edge. The
covers are in pretty good shape with only small rash areas.
The question is how to dispose of them. At most they might be
worth $50. I prefer not to mess with trying to sell them but hate to put
them in a landfill if someone can use them. I would happily give them to
anyone who would pick them up in OC. Do you have any ideas?
 Thanks,

from the salt they use on the roads here in western NY.
Been looking in the junkyards for even Camry wheels as a temporary solution.
Can't decide if I want the 21 or 22 inch chrome spinners. JK

I'm sure that with steel salvage prices of over $300 a ton a recycler would be
glad to pick them up.
