Hi Guys, The trunk lid on my '65 Malibu squawks so loud when opening or closing that it's embarrassing. The wheel at the end of the trunk spring stops rotating at the same time the squawk begins. Oiling the center and greasing the outside of the wheel do not seem to be a cure.
Last year I broke a trunk spring and replaced it with help from list member TJ Reinglin (SP?). I would love to ask his opinion about this but no longer have his email address. Worse yet, he owes me a beer! Thanks for any help. Dennis McGillis 949-533-7211 cell 1965 Chevelle Malibu SS-350
