Shawn,

Yeah I'm not looking to spend that much!!! I wish I had the extra cash...This
Chevelle addiction keeps my funds pretty low.

Dan,

That's a great idea. I'll go on CNET and see if I can download a trial version
of that one, or some other one. Thanks!

I am not an expert but I found that the Nero Suite did a pretty good job making
home videos and slideshows. You could probably download a demo and give it a
try
before you buy.

edit video, plus the sound that goes with them. Splice things together and?do
voice-over type stuff. I'm making some instructional videos, plus I'm sure I'll
be making some sort of dirtbike videos. I'm looking for suggestions on
what?software programs you use, or would suggest. Thanks for your help!

You probably aren't looking to change platforms, but if you want to
do all those things easily, get a Mac. All thevstuff you want to do
is built in with iLife08 on OS X. No viruses, no spyware, stuff just
works.

I use Macs for everything from managing multi-million dollar IBM unix
systems to making DVD's of my motorcycle rides and kids, just an all
around great tool.
