Any parts store should have one in stock or be able to get one. If you still can't find one, try one of the Restoration Suppliers . I bet Jonh Nasta has them. Re: [Chevelle-list] vented fuel cap
I kinda lay in the weeds and read the goodies but I guess I need to ask as well about the vented cap deal but on a 68 Chevelle. If it matters there is an electric fuel pump for the Holley carbed 468 Gen VI Bowtie. Not having problems with it - except gas goes through it like flushing a toilet - but I might as well have the right one when it comes to function not historical correctness. Happy new year to all from those of us in the weeds Scott Dallas

Re: [Chevelle-list] vented fuel cap
Scott According to the Year One Catalog a 68 Coupe?Sedan uses non-vented, an Elky or S/W uses vented - go figure???I wouldn't think that the delivery method (elect pump) would change things..but I haven't been right too much lately. Happy new year to all from those of us in the weeds Hope you don't itch too much from those weeds. :-)) The 68 cars have a fuel tank vent in the top front of the tank, so the gas cap doesn't need to be vented. Something that you may have noticed is that when your car is full of gas you get on the brakes hard, gas flows out of the vent hoses and can drip on the right exhaust pipe. I'm going to try to figure out a way to prevent this, when I do, ya'll will be the second to know. BL
Re: [Chevelle-list] vented fuel cap
Thanks Bill, that would definitely be a cool thing to know. I will certainly follow you with the fix. Right now I tend to spend more time stomping on the gas rather than the brakes but I'm sure that the laws of averages ( and probability) might address that ratio some day. Just had new 3 pipes and flowmasters behind hookers put in. Now the functionality of the stuff in and stuff out relationship seems a little more complete but shore is louder. Gotta retune the Holley ( miss the Demon but we could not keep it from doing a geyser when it felt like it so we sent it back. ) For my driving ( it's sometimes not what ya do, it's how ya look while you're doing it) the 750 is ok for now. I find that I get to the speed limit quite nicelyand then go some more. Thanks in advance for the help and the info.
