[Chevelle-list] where were all the classics today?

2009-04-13 Thread dennis.mcgillis
My wife and I were out cruising for a couple of hours. The weather in Orange
County, CA was just beautiful.

We stopped to look at '52 and '55 Advanced Design trucks in front of a
house, talked with the owner and now have a new old-car buddy. I gave him a
Chevrolet Restoration Pack for his '55 that I just happened to have in my
trunk and he gave me a '62 235 valve cover needed for my truck. What a day!

I had my '66 out, and expected to see a variety of other classics out with
it being a nice day AND a holiday, and how many did I see?? ONE. And
that's if you include seeing the hood of my '66 from the driver's seat..

Glad to hear, Tom- it was just really eerie around my way, bc usually I see at
least one other old car out on Easter. I couldn't tell if it was bc people had
to sell their toys, or were just out of whack altogether since last year Easter
was at the end of March!

Should have been at the local zoo with my family. Instead it was in my
garage - with the nose in the air - hood removed. Draining tranny fluid &
radiator so I can pull motor & tranny.Don't ask why...
