Re: [Chevelle-list] Happy Thanksgiving

2006-11-23 Thread John W. Lonadier, Jr.
I too would like to wish all on the list a Happy Thanksgiving. I also
have a lot to be thankful for, one is of course my Chevelle and all on
this list who I have met at different events. I also am thankful that we
all here in the states were spared this hurricane season so that we may
continue to get our lives in order and back to normal.

I just wanted to wish all list members a Happy Thanksgiving. I have
plenty to be thankful for, and two of those things are my 66 SS396, and
all the advice I've received from the members of this list.

I hope you all have a great weekend. Be safe.

Europe is the PAL system, as opposed to NTSC, which we use here. It can be converted, and some DVD players (they use it too) can switch from one to the other.

2002-11-26 Thread Krister Meister

No stairs, but a pitched garage floor:

I built this house with a unique garage set up. It has an end of house
approach, 3 car 36' wide X 26' deep attached garage with a 10' door and an
18' foot door. The garage floor level is 4.5' lower than the 1st floor -
floor level and 5' higher than the basement floor level. The 10' door
stall floor is a 26' long pitched from the from garage door to the basement
floor level. At the end of the "ramp" as I call it is another 10' door
separating the garage from the work shop (15 X 45). The building
department required the shop floor to be 6" lower than the other regular
side basement floor acting as a gas fume curb. A lot of friend's refer to
it as the "bat cave". Because the ramp is at a 5' pitch over 26' you can
easily park a car on this incline as well. I copied this idea from my dad
who is a builder and has the same set up with a 4 car garage and 3 cars in
his basement.

Ok, I don't see a problem with putting your '66 in the basement, but how in
the world do you plan to carry it down the stairs?

forward to the Turkey Run and I'm here looking at the snow falling.  There
is something wrong with this picture.

For many of us winter is here = Chevelle's stay inside. It's snowing 3"
today and I still need to move my '66 into the basement.

Have fun at the Turkey Rod Run!
