Yes, but you need to use the 72 headlight bezels to make it look correct. I have a 71
grill bezels on my 72.

Twice, huh? Hmmm. I must have had that set to auto
delete. Likewise you must have most ofyour inboxtraffic set
to auto delete, as well. If you read all the messages that travel
through here, you'll notice that about 95% pertain directly to
  Chevelles.

  Now
to answer your questions, If you haven't already deleted this message.
I'm not completely knowledgeable on the 1972 grill, but the ones I've seen
have the inset of the grill painted black. If you had ordered the part
new, I believe that it would already be black. I have no idea about the
staples, sorry. I wish I could be of more help to you. Maybe if
you approach the members with a little less sarcasm, they will be more likely
  to help.

Obviously Larry has an opinion. I've received it three times in my
email-box. Do you people talk at all about Chevelles here? I've posted a
question twice today with no response. I joined this list to talk about
Chevelles, not other people. Lets try this one again...
 I have a 72 Chevelle that I recently purchased a grill for
through ebay. It has some blemishes in the black grill. The seller tells me
these won't show when its painted. I didn't think it was supposed to be
painted?...anyone know?
 Also, I want to install
the control arm dust covers onto the steel wheel wells with the staples
provided. Surely there isn't a staple gun for this. Do I pilot drill each
staple?

I have done this with different things that were originally stapled, i drill 2- 1/16" holes the same distance apart as the staple (after carefully removing them) and then put the staple through the new material (weather strip or ??) and into the original holes and then fold the staples back over, they are pretty thick and it usually works well

Sarge;
Thanks for your input. I'm sorry for the sarcasm. I take it
my earlier posts are floating out in the web somewhere. Thanks for your input, I
don't think I should have to paint the grill either, but I had to ask. I don't
know what that other guy said to upset you, but remind me not to upset your
apple cart :-)

No
prob. The other was guy was shooting out political spam. Our primary
reason for getting agitated was that we had just put out a political spam fire a
few days ago. Basically, we got upset that someone would post nonrelated
subjects in the list. I guess we did the same thing by replying. My
humble apologies for spamming in return.

Anyway, about the grill, I completely agree with John Nasta. If I
were you, I'd send it back, and check with John to see if he carries the proper
part. He more than likely does, and he has alot of experience with
customer service. He's experienced probably the worst customer service
first hand.
