in injection molding, the machine has different
cavities, which makes for easier identification if a quality control issue
arises.. (cav#4, cav#3, etc...)

hope that solves that question for ya!

What does it mean when the grill has that part number, but right above it,
it says CAV #3?

I just checked, all my grills has that number - 6261911. So it is original,
but not New original, they have been on a chevelle at one time.

Re: [Chevelle-list] 72 Grille

2003-07-31 Thread the . cat
I have 2 Grills, that I think are NOS. How can I check that they are really
NOS grills. As far as I know, they came off a chevelle.
NOS stands for New Old Stock, ie, manufactured as service parts and
not used. If your grilles are NOS, they cannot have been installed
on a car at any point in their lifetime.

I have 2 Malibu Grills. The
best one I have has a 1 inch missing peice. The other has also a broken
cracked missing peice on the top.
Unless they were damaged in the GM warehouse, I'd think they are used
parts, not NOS.

Dave.

you looking for a Malibu grill or an SS grill? I have 2 Malibu Grills. The
