Do you have any photos of these valve covers,Jim?
I sold a pair of SBC valve covers last year that looked like the cam covers on
a ZR-1's LT5 engine,,for $750. Wish I had kept them now,though,for my 69's
SBC.

doing what I did w/my 70 Chevelle SS,,I took a pair of chrome covers,,it
took 2 of the same side{ the side that has no baffels on the underside}
layoff the location of the rocker studs, use a hole saw and drill holes at
those proper locations{ of the rocker studs}, debur holes,,remember use
correct size hole saw to accomidate those FACTORY rubber oil plugs,,,HAVE
YOU EVER SEEN CHEVROLET "HEMI" big block valve covers YOU HAVE NOW!
I'vebeen running them for 3-4 yrs.,,no problem oil for the pivet balls.
