Its not a problem to bolt on the short pump. Any trouble may come from the brackets. Its been too many years, and I don't remember how the short pump brackets for the alternator, P/S or air connect to the block. If any of your brackets bolt to the intake manifold bolts, it may be a problem (i think) .
