its not rainwater, its just your passenger that have problems to contain
himself while you rev that big-block to six grand driving sideways through
gamla stan :o)

Pelle, Most likely you are getting the water in through the cowl vent. The
water is supposed to drain down and out the bottom on each side via drain
holes. Over time these holes will fill with dirt and leafs etc. If your car
has air vents in the kick panels, remove them to gain access to clean out
the debris and open up the drains. You should also seam seal as best you can
the base of the kick panel area, inside and out. Hope this helps.

Do you have a outside vent with an inside cable type knob to open & close it.  If so, 
is it stuck open or broken.  Check it out.  Happened to my 65.  Rainwater in the same 
place.

I had a similiar issue on my '69.  Turns out the cowl area under the
trim at the bottom of the windshield was rusted through.  Try removing
that piece for inspection.  This is a common problem on our cars.
