Pelle, Most likely you are getting the water in through the cowl vent. The water is supposed to drain down and out the bottom on each side via drain holes. Over time these holes will fill with dirt and leafs etc. If your car has air vents in the kick panels, remove them to gain access to clean out the debris and open up the drains. You should also seam seal as best you can the base of the kick panel area, inside and out. Hope this helps. I had a similiar issue on my '69. Turns out the cowl area under the trim at the bottom of the windshield was rusted through. Try removing that piece for inspection. This is a common problem on our cars.
