Re: [Chevelle-list] stripes on drive shaft
Stripe colors are dependant on specific engine and transmission. Re: [Chevelle-list] STRIPES
WELL FINALLY, MY 69 GOES INTO THE PAINT SHOP NEXT WEEK, AFTER ONE LONG YEAR AT THE BODY SHOP. I ASKED THE PAINTER IF HE CAN APPLY THE STRIPES ON THE SIDE OF THE CAR (69 SS STRIPES) AND THEN CLEAR THEM. HE WANTS TO PAINT THE STRIPES IN RATHER THEN STICK THEM ON. WHERE CAN I GET THE CORRECT SPECS ON SIZE AND PLACEMENT FOR THE 69 SS STRIPES? THANKS JOE -Original Message-From: Bill Lessenberry <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>To: The Chevelle Mailing ListSent: Tue, 10 May 2005 16:41:59 -0500Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] Heads? "Pelle Andersson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]com> > > Aluminum heads on a cast iron block? > > Is that a bad idea? Pelle, Volvo & Saab have had aluminum heads since the early 70's. It is actually a good idea, less weight, better heat dissipation, easily repaired. The only downside is the cost, and that's gone down considerably in the past few years. BL
Re: [Chevelle-list]Stripes
I would like to paint them into the body, rather than put stripes down the side Does anyone have a correct pattern for doing this, or should I just put the stripes and clear coat over them? Joe
Re: [Chevelle-list]Stripes
Thanks, I have pondered the same question but not at the point to worry about it yet. Good tip. Re: [Chevelle-list]Stripes
However some dealers offered it as an option. I for one think it looks way better than the pin stripes.
