Re: [Chevelle-list] another subject (oil light)
#1 I disconnected the ground I added and the light is still on #2 I disconnected the wire to the sending unit and the light is still on #3 I did a continuity check on the blue wire that goes to the sending unit, no signal. ALL WITH KEY ON If I remove the ground I added the temp and fuel gauge will not work. If you have any more suggestions please send them. I am at a loss at this point and I am ready to just remove the bulb so I can enjoy the car. Thanks again for all your help! There is one and as far as I know it is grounded. Re: [Chevelle-list] another subject (oil light)
I just found the problem... It was the circuit board bulb socket..., one of the brass terminals sliped under the circuit board when I twisted into place and grounded it to the gauge housing. I couldn't believe when I saw it (with a mirror). Thanks for all your help you guys are great! Bill Glad that you got it. Its frequently something that we do to ourselves.Re your troubleshooting Item 3 - Do NOT check continuity with power on. First you don't get an accurate reading - your no signal shows that. Second you can burn out your meter. rick On 4/16/07, william yetman [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I just found the problem...
