is no audience as such as everyone is welcome to be involved.
For those unable to attend the event in Glastonbury in person. the discussions
will be webcast through the website

through twitter which will be projected on a large screen in the venue,
these contributions will be fed into the ongoing discussions and back out
through the webcast maximising the potential synergy of the event
The Format

The kitchen table will be situated in the centre of the floor surrounded by "the
audience", there will be 16 chairs at the table which will be occupied by
whoever wants to be there.
There will be a pot in which we can put our subjects for discussion at the
table. Every 30 minutes, one new subject will be randomly selected.
Each person at the table can discuss the subject for 90 seconds then allow
someone else to take it up if anyone wants to.
At the end of 30 minutes a 5 minute summing up of the discussion will take
place, then a new subject will be selected.
If the table is full and someone wishes to participate someone at the table will
be requested to surrender their place
we will draw straws if necessary
we would like to create the feeling of your home kitchen table and invite you to
bring snacks food etc etc to share - there will be a bottomless coffee pot and
teapot.
This is a "magic hat" event where you are invited to make donation to cover
expenses
This is the first of a series of experimental events in this genre and it will
be videoed by 5 cameras and broadcast live over the internet.
The video will also be edited down and distilled into capsuals to be shown on
Positive TV
Positive TV is also encouraging people to host and video kitchen table events in
their home town and upload them to the positive TV website

FWD: Stonehenge2006 The Summer Solstice Celebration Please repost to your contacts The odyssey continues - a unique collaborative effort between the community and English heritage brings us another precious opportunity tocelebrate together during the summer solstice at Stonehenge as somany of our ancestors have for many thousands of years. The car park opens Tuesday evening 2oth June at 8pm. The stones will open at 10pm until 9am (no entry after 6am). The car park closes at 1pm. Sunrise will occur at 04.58 on Wed 21st June 2006 There will be a special bus service from Salisbury railway station for around £7 round trip. Buses are every half hour from 20:30pm until 01:15am to Stonehenge and return every twenty minutes or sooner from 05:15am until 06:15am, then every half hour until 09:45am - Transport from the car park will be provided for disabled visitors. WARM CLOTHING and rain wear is essential, blankets are allowed in but NOT quilts and sleeping bags. No Naked flames or glass bottles are allowed inside the stones however incense sticks and small cone incense are ok Must Read information with active links, about public transport, local accommodation, campsites, conditions of entry etc can be found at http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/summersolsticewww.english- heritage.org.uk/summersolstice Information Hotline on 0870 333 1186. Acoustic music is encouraged, amplified music is not allowed, so bring your drums, bells, whistles and guitars etc. There will be Recycling points and we will be given a clear rubbish bag. The contents of these clear bags will then be sorted so that as much of the rubbish can be recycled as possible, you are invited to participate in making this initiative a success Wholesome vegetarian food will be available from approved food stands. This celebration is a product of all of us, the synergy, the magic that we create when each one of us is everything that we can be. We are encouraged to use the areas around the outside of the stones for workshops, "talks", chanting, games, music, theatre dance etc, "Bring what you would like to see" There will be The Sacred Soapbox - a spoken word area where YOU can have your say, share your poetry and songs. Also two braziers where impromptu events can take place Be colourful, dress up bring banners always be mindful of health and safety realities any questions in this area should be addressed with english heritage in advance. G8--Our Agenda - "Our World Working For All Of Us" Please forward to your contacts This gathering could turn out to be the biggest ever, bigger than Woodstock or the Isle of White both in size and significance an ocean of humanity expressing the cry from deep in the heart of our generation for a better way of running the anthill that is our global culture each of us a drop in that ocean "Each and every drop entering the ocean immediately becomes the ocean" Why are we demonstrating at the G8? What is it really all about? What do we realistically hope to achieve? What is possible in the realpolitik? Africa, global warming, third world debt, Iraq etc are only symptoms, a metaphor for what we are all dissatisfied about.. Africa and the other issues expose the lack of integrity that is driving and has driven global behavior for thousands of years both in the macro of global trade and in the micro of our individual relationships with each other. When I look in the mirror, I can see all the garbage of this world operating within me also as I conduct my life in the daily scramble to survive another day on this spinning lump of rock. How do I interact with my neighbors and friends? - Global peace begins right here with me and then spills out radiating throughout the global culture. The beauty of these times is that there is no escape from this reality anymore. Extinction is the only way out. Either we face our issues individually and globally or our civilisation will cease to exist. Live 8 @ the G8 is the heart of the people crying out for something different, a new way of operating. Each of us is a single blade of grass cracking the concrete. This has been building for a long time since the first wave in the sixties -- it now comes of age. It is important that we operate in this situation with the consciousness of "the journey is the destination" The issues that we are addressing are ignorance - fear, selfishness, and the resulting dishonesty. What is important is that we understand that this is an evolutionary moment; it is in innocence, that the human race is where it is. Down from the trees, but not yet walking upright. We are monkeys barely out of the jungle squeezing this amazing civilisation out of the rocks. We must move beyond finger pointing, blame, and demonisation.
