Yeah, they're suffering thanks to the USA's interventions through the IMF, which destroyed the country for the favor of rich investors. It's like my birthland, Chile... they're swimming in wealthy shame for to selling themselves to the richies. We don't do that in Venezuela. Here, we kick their ass, and don't even need a war to do it. We'd rather eat rats than sell ourselves to them. Chilenos and Argentinos- here, they represent the lowliest forms of south americanism because they are such SNOBS and NAZIS!! And don't come defend them- I was born there of a fascist Italian blondie fag dad (the 'fag' part has NOTHING to do with sexual orientation, but with his lack of male strenght- which doesn't have to be gender-associated either)- my grandaddy wrote books for Pinochet... But still, even last night, when they were setting off fireworks here for the start of the Holidays, I happened to be in a dark part of a property of mine, and Chile violence immediately came back... as I heard explosions hiding under tables in Chile, hearing mothers cry for their lost kids- all in the name of USA economics theory, most of which is just mathematical vomit. Re: [cia-drugs] Argentina Readies for Regional Summit
Just to let everyone know who hasn't read my site, the Trilateral Commission expanded to several new nations in 2002. Argentina was one of them. When I was there in 2000, my friend who helped me with articles on the Kennedy assassination took me (and my under cover informant husband) around on the Saturday of that week. She explained that unemployment was terrible. Fortunately, for her, she has a good job (as a librarian) so isn't suffering, but many people are suffering there. Subsidized agriculture in rich countries, the US sponsored Free Trade Area for the Americas, and current international financial policies, are the main obstacles for consensus. These have become the most controversial issues among the 34 participant countries, given Washington's refusal to compromise on either subsidies or the FTAA. Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Latin American Policy, Leonardo Franco, called the FTAA the "hottest item" on the agenda because its implementation this year was prevented by differences between the US and MERCOSUR (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.) Franco added that national coordinators will try to reach consensus at a meeting of the Summit Revision and Implementation Group next Friday in Buenos Aires. The undersecretary noted Argentina's official stand is that economic growth is a key condition, although insufficient to generate dignified jobs to be in line with the Summit slogan "Create jobs to face poverty and strengthen democratic governability." Franco recalled the failed neoliberal model implemented in the 90s, which is challenged by President Nestor Kirchner and other countries in the region because, in addition to private investment and economic growth, generating new jobs demands state policies.
