Great! Thank you. I freeze the manual development right now, that'll
give you enough time to proof read the manual.

Here are the manual parts:

Jim,
OK. If no one else pipes up in the next couple days, then we could
split it in half. I don't care which half I take..though I wouldn't
mind re-reading the sections on effects. Many of them are quite
challenging to understand.

Re: [CinCVS] slow playback

2006-12-13 Thread muzzol

2006/12/13, Regis Guyomarch <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

Hello,

hi

is the way he found to do this. When he wants the video on track2

being visible, he puts track1 video fader to 0 for a while. when he
wants de track1 being visible again, he puts track1 video fader to
100.

i work always that way. i dont link to use crossfade transition. for
me there's no significant performance drop.

[CinCVS] slow playback

2006-12-13 Thread Regis Guyomarch

Hello,

I've installed cinelerra for a friend. He loves this program he uses
for his job. But there is a problem with the playback: when he load
one video on the track1, the playback is fine (25 fps ). When he load
another video the track2, below the other one, the playback
performance drop to 9 fps. He often make fades betwen videos and this
is the way he found to do this. When he wants the video on track2
being visible, he puts track1 video fader to 0 for a while. when he
wants de track1 being visible again, he puts track1 video fader to
100.

It seems that even if the video fader of the track1 is at 100 (the
video in the track1 is visible, the video in the track2 is hide ),
cinelerra try to mix it with the video track2.

How can we avoid this problem? I believe there is a configuration
tip but I haven't found it.
 Thanks for your help.

Best regards,

RG

Cinelerra falls with all kind of video output drivers. Even with
X11-OpenGL

program recieved SIGPIPE, broken pipe.

this is really strange. Because cinelerra does not use pipes much, maybe
you can change driver from x11-xv to x11 or vice versa...
