Re: [CinCVS] Horizontal Scroll Bar Problems

Have you tried the blond theme?? I think i recall that the new suv
theme does look a bit strange when you zoom in, and that the blonde
theme was better, (got to do with the styling slanted rectangle sliders)

Hey everyone. I wrote about this briefly in my build error thread,
but I've discovered a little more about this problem (from a visual
standpoint), so I thought It'd be worth mentioning in another thread.

The display I'm working on right now is at a resolution of 1280x1024.
When I load video into Cinelerra, the bottom horizontal scroll bar in
the main program window below the timeline disappears.

I tried this again on a 1600x1200 display (my laptop), and on that
display, I was given a horizontal scroll bar, but it was extremely thin
and hard to find. That lead me to the conclusion that the scroll bar
widget is being drawn, but it's allowed to scale too small, to the point
where you can't even see it (or barely see it.)

Just thought I'd point that out as having a useable scroll bar would
really help a lot. So far, I'm really getting into Cinelerra and have
to say that it absolutely rocks :)

Hello James,

yes I can confirm this: in suv theme the scrollbar gets smaller and smaller
and has no lower limmit, so that beyond some project lenght, it gets
invissible altogether.

Anyway, I am somewhat reluctant when it comes to increasing the project
lenght. I always prefere to stick at chunks of managable size. This is
mainly because as when the length increases, normally it gets also more
complicated, i.e. more and more tracks to manage, many of wich have
masks on them (and you can't change the number of mask points by keyframe).
I'm doing a large movie project, but I prefere to use a separate project
file for every scene, so my projects normally don't get much longer then
10 minutes. Another point is: if really something gets altogether wrong
in my project, I have to hand-repair the XML in a text editor, which
is practically not posible any longer, when the complexity of the
project increases to much.

Cheers,
Hermann

Your problem is that the horizontal zoom is at 0:00:00. See the drop-down
widget at the lower left. change it.

Ah ha :) That makes it a lot better. Thank you. I was just using the
default settings and didn't realize you could zoom in or out. The
scroll bar still should scale to an appropriate size though, even at
0:00:00, right?

I'll zoom in from now on.
