RE: supernetting question

2000-10-26 Thread Anton Khan

Yes, as far as I can tell this is the only netmask that will allow you to
include all of the networks you have requested in one supernetwork. Of
course this is a bit of over kill as you will be including all addresses in
the range of:

179.29.0.0 to 179.29.31.255.

If it wasn't for 172.29.16.64 255.255.255.192 you could have got away with
179.29.0.0 /20 which would include the range:

179.29.0.0 to 179.29.15.255.

RE: Passed BCRAN

2000-11-07 Thread Anton Khan

Scott,

I am studying for the BCRAN right now and there is one issue that
contiues to puzzle me. Do we have to be familiar with the 700 series
routers or not. I figure anyone who has done the BCRAN recently would be in
the best position to answer this question so hopefully you or someone from
the study group will add their two cents.

For what it's worth there are a lot of really bright and talented people on
this study group. It is a great resource for any up and coming CCNP or
CCIE.

Anton

RE: ACL Deny Statement & Wildcard

2000-11-15 Thread Anton Khan

The range 100.16.0.0 and 100.17.255.255 are defined by the 255.254.0.0.
Therfeor the wildcard (inverse) mask in you access list should be
0.1.255.255.

Subject: ACL Deny Statement & Wildcard

I need to deny 2 consecutive network ranges. I'd like to combine these into
one statement. Here's my example, am I correct?

Example IPs: 100.16.0.0 and 100.17.0.0

I want to block on the .16 & .17 space:

access-list 103 deny ip 100.16.0.0 0.238.255.255 any

Thanks,

Rob Montgomery
