RE: CCNP Lab design and Topology [7:74389]

2003-08-28 Thread Aspiring Cisco Gurl
Do these lab companions have specific labs for study or does it only work
off of the Network Academy books? Basically, what I am asking is if they
can be used separately with my own home lab versus do I need to get the
whole package of Network Academy companion book, lab book, and journal?
(What is the journal used for anyways?)

Cisco CIM cds... are they really worth it? [7:74375]

2003-08-26 Thread Aspiring Cisco Gurl
I am thinking about buying some Cisco CIM cds... something like IP routing,
Link-state, CCIE multiprotocol challenge, and ISDN access. Do you think it
is worth it or should I just stick to plain old lab work?

RE: Practice Lab [7:74300]

2003-08-25 Thread Aspiring Cisco Gurl
I dont know if my previous post got up there cuz I didnt see it on the
replies but I first picked up 3 2503s and a 2912 switch. I think that is a
good start.

I picked up the 2503 versus 2501 bc I can, in the future, learn the ISDN
topics when I buy an ISDN simulator.

Can you please inform us of what did you download on the web regarding the
IS-IS? I heard there was a sample chapter on IS-IS but is this what you are
referring to? Please help, I am going for my BSCI now. I only have the
Sybex book but I am looking for good labs for these.

2003-08-15 Thread Aspiring Cisco Gurl
Thank you again for all the responses. Does anyone have a sample reverse
telnet configuration I can attempt to apply on my router?

Daniel, I realize that you man of mis-read what I typed but I was asking
about an AS2511-RJ. The rj specifically means non octal cable but rj45
ports. And apparently the answer that I couldnt find is using a roll-over
cable. Once again... thanx guys!
